You mean you agree with everyone then? As all seem to be agreeing on this one.

Whose lying? That's an extreme allegation.
grim_tales wrote:Lost In Translation was ruined too.
Did you speak up? LIT is not for kids, they'd be bored stupid.

and saying someones exadurating isnt  classic.

and I think thats a good point, people go to see the wrong films. They get bored and hell they get lazy and talk, get restlesss and tap feet, eat loud etc.. so maybe people should pick better films :D I loved Lost In Translation, but I know many in the cinema on the way out voiced they didnt.

I agree with everyone on that point yes. As for beer in a cinema/theatre, I see nothing wrong with it TBH. I think Mark's Draconian idea is OTT - I mean as you say why would people go to the cinema to get pissed? Thats what a pub is for ;) :D I mean if I want to just drink per se I'll go to a pub.

It wasnt kids talking in LIT, it was adults AFAIK, laughing in the wrong places etc. :?

I guess the lot of you are all a bunch of fascists then... :D

What an extreme allegation? Compared with calling someone a liar? They're not in the same ball pack.

Sadly people don't. They look at maybe a trailer, the title (What?), a few line synopsis or lets be honest whose in it, which tells you nothing.

Sorry, I thought someone mentioned glasses and bottles. I must have gotten confused. Paper/poly cups isn't so bad. I'm not for the idea, but conceed it's not as bad as I thought. I had visions of glass chucking. I wouldn't ban pubs and clubs, but they should be better policed and more responsible for their patrons. They serve drunks when they shouldn't. I don't drink beer - I think it tastes like warm piss. I'd much rather have a Coke. :D And Brad, when I said "intelligent people" I didn't mean you!!

Kind of. You can at least try by voting in elections and writing to your MPs etc . . .

It depends how serious it "really" bothers you.

I wouldn't ban food - eating in the cinema is fine.

But the prices are ludicrous.

£3.00 for a fucking hotdog.

The amazing thing is most our Cinemas have a store near by like Tescos etc.. and they will sell the exact same thing for maybe a quater of the price or less :D I ussually get drinks in Tesco etc.. as 60p for a bottle of Coke, compared to 2 quid in the cinema, you do the math. Its hard to get my head around people paying 3 quid for a large drink when they can walk for maybe 2 minutes and get the same thing cheaper! insanity.

Still Popcorn isnt in most shops like in cinemas. Used to be in Asda mind you in MASSIVE bags for 99p :D that was a bargain!

Lol romero, no you don't exagerrate at all, here's what a 5min perusal of your lovely posts on page 2 yields:
romerojpg wrote:If I listed everything that I can remember about cinema problem over the last 13 years I would be writing forever.
romerojpg wrote:Because you are not Suffering by not eating in a cinema, others ARE suffereing by having to watch you eat, listen to you eat, smell you eat and sit in your shitty food after you throw and spill it everywhere. Most eaters spoil films for others.
romerojpg wrote:Popcorn and crisps and nachos are the loudest foods in the world
romerojpg wrote:Its the tossers who get drunk then go to the cinema Rolling Eyes they are real SCUM. Theres nothing at all you can do, I have tried and fights have broken out a few times in the cinema, last time it was with a big group of drunken Chav scumbags Rolling Eyes.
This last one follows the usual theme of your posts that paint your area like a town from the wild west, a total lawless hellhole where violence is jumping out at you from every corner. I remember your rants about violence at your school well, and of course some of the more memorable comments about violence where you live.

Where do you live btw? Deadwood? :P

I have a cineworld card (£11 a month), which isn't bad considering how many times I go. Last year I saw no less than 52 films at the cinema (I collect the tickets). You need to watch two a month to get your money's worth so it's not bad.

Downside is that I live in Aberdeen and the whole town's racist and against foreign/contemporary cinema. So I'm limited to mainstream titles (boooob).

The Glasgow Cineworld is the best cinema I've ever been to. It's the tallest cinema in the world and IMHO, the sexiest. Every time I pass that building, I keep wanting to marry it (or at least pork it). If only the Glasgow Cineworld were a woman *sigh*. 18 screens AND they screen arthouse/subtitled/foreign films. This paragraph is irrelavent btw - no point in reading it tbh.

The Aberdeen cinema is only 10mins away from my work, so I go at lunchtime to book the best seats (they assign seats). I usually pick the aisle seat on row A.

I usually go to the cinema alone.

I almost always go on a Friday afternoon, as it's empty and I finish work at 1:30pm.

I sometimes go on weekends but try to aim for an 11am showing. If it's an evening showing then I try and pick less popular films, or films that are nearing the end of their theatrical run.

I don't usually buy food cos of the price. But because the tickets are "free" - then I sometimes buy some salt/sweet popcorn or nachos.

I usually see films before you guys and I feel proud of that.

Errr I didnt even say what happened facts or details, and none of them happened near me anyway as we dont have a cinema near us :D I go out of town to Boldon, Newcastle and Gateshead.

Not one word of that is a lie, or exadurated, apart from the "Forever" bit which was a saying, not a fact :D

If you dont beleve things I say, I couldnt care less to be honest. I dont lie ever, you can beleve what you want. You obviously dont see any crime, violence or disturbances, I do all the time and its far from making it up or exadurating it, I would at least make them sound more exciting.

and I have been to the cinema probibly well over 500 times, even if shit happened one in 100 times, thats still 5 stories for the net.

I know for a fact many lie thru their asses, as some morons are on many forums as other people and cannot post the same things on each forum.

52 films my god. It wouldn't be worth it for me.

That is indeed one of life's mysteries. For me I do it as I don't go "all that often" and it's much easier than messing around brining your own food in.

I have just started at work to make my own coffee as the coffee in the canteen tastes shite anyway and costs a fortune. I now drink my own coffee which tastes much nicer and is considerably cheaper.

I don't know why I didn't do it before. We've had a fridge in our office for yonks.
