Favourite munchies for watching movies?

Post by BiscLimpkit »

What do you guys like to eat when you watch a film?

At the cinema, I usually don't buy food because it's expensive. Now and then I like to treat myself though (especially if it's a dumb action movie or blockbuster). I'd buy mixed salt/sweet popcorn or nachos.

At home I usually have pumpkin seeds, grapes... occasionally a cereal bar or crisps.

I don't like to watch a movie when I have my tea, but will happily sit through family guy or futurama.

Used to go with a hot dog and a medium soft drink.

But that was before you needed to mortgage your house for them.

Now I eat before I go.

I pretty much never buy food at the cinema. It's too expensive.
If I have the chance I'll pop into a supermarket and get some cans of soda for me and my chick, and maybe a bag of chips as well... and/or chocolate (M&M's or whatever)

At home, I usually have chocolate, cause I'm addicted to it, but I dont really snack that much during movies I watch at home. Occasionally some chips...
For drinks I used to drink coca cola alot, but lately I'm just drinking hot/warm water...

If I have a friend over, I might make some hot snacks, like vietnamese eggrolls or whatever it's called... but since we moved, and my best friend also moved away, that rarely happens anymore.

I dont like popcorn much though. used to eat it in class back when I was 20 or something, but nowadays it gets stuck between my teeths and annoys the shit out of me. Dont even love the taste of it that much. Kinda bland.

When I'm at home I have olives and tea, which is the better alternative to popcorn and a softdrink imo.

I hope everyone would think like a 60-year-old lady. No one would buy soft drinks and other mass produced stuff, which would put an end to a lot of suffering in this world.

TBH I hate eating while watching a film as I don't want to take my eyes off the screen for a second (or have my concentration broken), this is especially true for foreign language films.

I usually pause the movie and ignore the phone if it rings while I'm watching a film too.

If I was to it would be crisps as I'm a crisps whore. I can't get enough of them, they're my biggest weakness. Although I don't eat as much as I used to.

As for drinks either coffee, tea or a beer.

In the cinema I like Nachos but eat them quick as they are stinky + as I've already said Beer. If I can't have beer probably a coffee.

As for popcorn I don't like sweet popcorn but like salted. I don't usually end up buying it though.

Although LD's food tips are actually nice. I just wouldn't pick them during a movie.

Man I love olives... I might take LD's advice and munch on them next time I spin a DVD.

They are so versitle - olives with garlic, roasted olives, mashed olives, chocolate dipped olives... the possibilties are endless.

Anyone else have a serious craving for olvies just down? Damn you LD....

Those sound nice. I can never seem to put enough weight on, weighing 57.7Kg right now.

I rarely give any thought to how much I eat. Which is actually low anyway.
