Animated Avatars and Signatures - Are they fun or annoying?

Post by bradavon »

I'd like all members opinion on whether specifically animated "Avatars and Signatures" are just a bit of fun or annoying?

Do they quickly become obtrusive? Annoying? Give you a headache if the same member posts a few posts and litters the forum? Do they make it hard to read members posts?

Is it acceptable to have an animated avatar "and" animated signature? What about the speed of the animation?

I'd like a forum consensus on this?

Fun, but also EXTREMELY annoying.

That reminds me... There's something I gotta tell Eva. :D

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

So I do. That doesn't mean we need two huge animated pictures per member though.

But fair enough if you like them.

There's only one member who thinks it's necessary in the first place.

I dont mind them, tbh. Depends on the animation I guess, but Eva's dont bother me. It's black and white.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

TBH I really don't mind it, it doesn't annoy me at all. It pretty cool, and brighten up the forum :D
