Ahh I didn't do that, I used stun to take out the jedi as i was lightEvaUnit02 wrote:Take out the braindead Jedi corpses (iin suspended animation) hanging on the walls (ie with sabre throw), then Malak can't heal himself with Life Drain or whatever.
When playing on the Dark side path you can heal yourself with those same corpses.
I prefer the Dark side path, it is far more fun IMO.
I'm in the underground base on Telos at the moment..

KOTOR 2 - Oooo I right at the end of KOTOR 2, where I fight Darth Trayas. She is hard that for sure, I think I got the tactic to kill her, which is run
. I did defeat her, but got killed by the 3 bloody floating lightsaber. The story for this is really good, better than the 1st one (but I prefer the 1st game play, Nar Shaddaa was a bit boring), but the story is much darker and edgier for a Star Wars game
. Especially once all the jedi are in Dantooine and tell you why they cast you out. Darth Nihilous and Sion was quite easy to beat which was a shame

Just Completed: KOTOR 2 - Yah!! Just completed this game, its a bloody long game, I spent on 40 hours on it. Done the light ending, yup just as I though, run from the bad guy, health up, attack, run again, hide behind pillar, health up again. With the floating lightsabers, just run, equip with guns, rapid shot, run, shot, and keep on doing this and you won!!. This game is a bit buggy I feel, my health goes, yet couldn't see anyone take a swipe at me
.
Excellent ending thou, and can't wait for Kotor 3, Hopefully it continues the story of Revan against the Originals Siths....

Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......... I tried HARD on Ninja Gaiden Black, and TBH I find it hard enough to just reach the first boss. I'm in the last chamber iright before Murai, and those spider ninjas or whatever are just kicking my ass... so I really should restart the whole level on HARD and just save up more potions...
Stupid thing is that I got so annoyed, I just did a new game on normal, and blasted my way easily through the first level and beating Murai with no problems whatsoever.. so I really should try HARD untill I succeed.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Its not impossible, and in fact its easier to hit time limits for Karma scores in Master Ninja mode since the limits are a lot bigger.slasher13 wrote:Ouch man, good like, Reading Master Ninja mode, it looks really impossible, is there loads more enemies appearing which are faster than you?
By far the hardest chapter on any difficulty level is the first one. I don't believe it to be harder because of the enemies, but because you have very limited health and only a Level 1 Dragon Sword.
Once past the first chapter (and away from those damn Spider Ninjas) it does get easier, simply because once the Dragon Sword is upgraded to Level 2 it becomes much more powerful (Flying Swallow is a very useful technique) and you can also buy a technique scroll for the Izuna Drop (one of the most useful techniques in the game).
There are more enemies (especially in the timed challenges - 100 on Master Ninja instead of about 60 for Hard mode) and they are a lot faster, they do a lot more damage AND they break your guard much more often.
So yes, it is a nightmare, but I'll get there in the end.
Oh, and I've also been doing Mission Mode a lot lately too. I've now completed 28 out of 50 missions on Master Ninja difficulty, and got just over 16 million Karma points...

Do you use essence dragging and Ultimate Techniques? That makes the game a lot easier. Believe me, with a bit of practice (ok, a LOT of practice!) I believe anyone can beat this game on any difficulty.Yi-Long wrote:Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......... I tried HARD on Ninja Gaiden Black, and TBH I find it hard enough to just reach the first boss. The game's creator, Tomonobu Itagaki, once said he thought maybe only 200 people in the world could beat Master Ninja difficulty. This has already been proved wrong - I think there are about 500 people on XBox Live alone, not counting the hundreds of others who must've completed the game but don't have XBox Live.
I aim to at least join the ranks on this one. I've been working on getting into the top 100 with my Karma ranking on Ninja Dog mode (nearly there!), but I don't think I'll be doing a Master Ninja Karma run for a while yet...

Been replaying Doom 3 on my new PC. It is a revelation compared to the Xbox version which I previously had played. Running it on Ultra high settings @ 1280*1024 w/ 4* Anti-aliasing and 8* anisotropic filtering.
I bought a Razer Diamondback mouse, which is utterly awesome. Super fast and accurate, especially with XP's USB 2.0 mouse polling rate hacked from the default of 125Hz to 1000Hz. It leaves my old MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 in the dust.

I preferred Doom 3 on the XBox to be honest. Sure, it only runs in 480p (max) & not some crazy high resolution but I thought the game felt more "streamlined" and not as unnecessarily "stretched out" as the PC version.
Plus playing on a 37" screen with Dolby Digital 5.1 cannot be beaten for the atmosphere of this game!

Damn that sounds sweet, no slowdown or anything. You got 5.1 speakers for the PC. Playing Doom 3 on that would be wicked!!!..EvaUnit02 wrote:Been replaying Doom 3 on my new PC. Haven't played Doom 3 for some time now... Mmm may give it another blast, the problem is that I can't play for more than 30 mins on FPS. If I do, I feel really sick, it been happening since I played Wolfstein on the 386

I'm currently on Chapter 7 of Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja mode. I need to beat the archive challenge (100 Spider Ninjas & Cat Demons) and then beat Alma (should be quite easy) then on we go to Chapter 8, nearly half way through the game!

Got Okami over the weekend. Well, my brother did. I've not really played it, but it looks amazing. Easiest way to describe it is that it looks like a painting that you can play around in. Even moreso than Wind Waker. And it's a Clover Studios game, so I have no doubt it'll play well.
As for a game I find myself playing a lot, well, I'm getting addicted to Geometry Wars. Very old-skool vibe to it, and hard as nails.
I'm also just amping myself up from the latest Final Fantasy game... oh yes...

Aiming with a mouse (especially with a high-speed gaming mouse like my Razer) is a thousand times better than controlling it with a pad. I couldn't go back to the Xbox version now, the graphics and controls are SO MUCH better on the PC.IronMonkey wrote:I preferred Doom 3 on the XBox to be honest.
It sure is sweet. The only downside is that resolutions beyond 1024*768 only run at a 60Hz refresh rate on my CRT monitor and thus I get light migraines after extended periods of play.slasher13 wrote: Damn that sounds sweet, no slowdown or anything.
Nope, but the next thing I'll be buying is a SoundBlaster Audigy 4 and some Logitech 5.1 speakers, as soon as I have the cash. Onboard audio sucks. You got 5.1 speakers for the PC.
Indeed. I played the Xbox version with DD5.1 and it was awesome. It should sound just as good, if not better in EAX4.0.Playing Doom 3 on that would be wicked!!!..

This Okami you speak of... I'm even thinking of getting a PS2 to try it out (thus breaking my Nintendo fanboy-ism)Kurgan wrote:Got Okami over the weekend. Well, my brother did. As far as I know, it does. I don't actually have the game yet; it's being released on Friday. I've never minded the borders, as it means I can put my TV into Cinema mode and get the game in widescreen
But enough of all that. The real reason you need to buy a PS3. Just enter your date of birth and if you're old enough, get ready to spank!

Fuck the borders, I'm talking about the decreased speed. Games with turn-based battle systems are slow enough. Eg, since the PS1 era installments, characters take like 10000 years to cast summoning spells.Kurgan wrote:As far as I know, it does. Also what is with Tetsuya Nomura's obsession with Gackt? Vaan is like the 3rd FF character modelled after that faglord.
