I dont have the movie yet btw. But I do know that Once ...West also didnt have mono, but sounded good to me. Then again, I'm not a big tech-head so as long as both music and voices are good and clear, I'm usually happy.

Only the R1 of OUATITW had Mono. But I was happy with the R2.
Yes the video on the SE of TGTBATU is much better, it's been restored and blows the R1/2 TC out of the water, I still have both though

(R1 TC, R2 SE).

Regarding the TGTBATU SE, any region release is good. The R1 has the addition of Italian mono with all the original foley, but who cares? It's not in English.

Nope, as Eva mentioned it's in Italian. Pretty useless.

Also I'm happy with the transfers of the original editions. Not happy with the extended cut of TGTBATU tbh...

I have OUATITW R1 (with Mono). Unwatched.

But £6.99 seems a decent price IMO (mostly buying it for the fact the missing frames are back in, and the extras).

7 pounds seems an OK price. Just noticed on the site that Fist of Fury PE is only 5 pounds.

I doubt I'll buy them though. I already have the movies, and although I'm sure these are better versions, I think I will just wait a few years untill I make the jump to HD, and then get the HD discs...

Yeah, both are by Aronofsky. The graphic novel is just that. It expands on the film telling the same story. The hardcover book is basically a beautiful picture book with some stunning images chosen by Aronofsky for readers to meditate on. It also includes the screenplay. I haven't read the graphic novel yet, but I've gone through the hardcover book and was very pleased.

I take it you've seen and enjoyed the film? I thought Pi was ok but Requiem was brilliant. Had high hopes for Fountain but it seems to have received mixed reviews.

The graphic novel is meant to compliment the film. They were both released around the same time I believe and were both created by Aronofsky.

I liked the film and the more I think about it and let it sink in, I downright love it. I'm eagerly awaiting viewing it again on DVD in a few months. It is probably one of those "love it or hate it" flicks, but I'd like to think smart people with a heavy heart will enjoy it.

It's quite profound in many ways and very moving.
