True, but I think it works for The Last Samurai as it is fitting with the film. The samurai life didn't contain material possessions, there was nothing for pompous show, they lead a simple life. The cover matches that mood I think. It wouldn't work for most other films that have different sort of themes though.

Just the odd spot of the rouge now and then. ;)

Those Star Wars covers look cool, though. Nice idea behind 'em.

Would anyone happen to have a nice Sonatine cover for share? It's a long story (not really) but I ended up with the R1 Miramax disc but no cover art at all...

Well, it's got a UK BBFC certificate on it, so yes it is European. :P

Those Star Wars sleeves are pretty cool, Degen. I especially like how they look when they're all against eachother. I dont really like the backs though.

How did you get those high-res screens of the spaceships and stuff?

THrough lots and lots of searching around the internet!!

Sometimes I just got lucky with a google images search and I'd find a image about 1000px + which, and I also asked on other forums and was pointed to some sites. Custom cover dedicated sites also usually have a databank of hi-res resources from which I got a few pics.

Here's my latest: a custom cover for a custom DVD. There is a fan edit of my favourite film on the internet which reinstates the deleted scenes (something which an official DVD should have done by now!).

Image

The blue & red are not blurred on the master version like they are in this image. The trouble with JPEGs is they introduce a lot of compression!

Any suggestions as to how I could improve the cover? Its getting to the stage where I think it is nearly done & I'm now just tweaking things to my liking...

By the way, the image of the endo skeleton face on the spine actually makes a full picture when all 3 covers (yes I'm making custom covers for other custom versions of T2 & T3) are placed side by side...

How do you know I'm not already working on a matching cover for T3? ;) I'm downloading the film in parts from RapidShare. The only problem with it is that its technically not an "extended edition" because its actually about 4 minutes shorter than the original film...

There is an ADM edit of T3 out there which adds the deleted scene that explains why all the Terminators look like Arnie. I'm going to try to get hold of that (no luck so far on RapidShare - any ideas?) so that I have the entire trilogy by ADM.

I tell you what I'll do; once I've completely finished all three covers for the ADM versions of the films, I'll edit the "extended edition" part of the T3 cover & change it to "T-HOPE Edition", save it as a TIFF & send you a copy. How's that sound?

Right, here's the finished covers for both The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day.

I've almost finished the matching T3: Rise Of The Machines cover, but there's a couple of things that need tweaking on that before I post a preview of it on here.

Cheers! The T3: Rise Of The Machines cover will be finished as soon as I figure out whether its a dual layer or single layer version of the film that I'm acquiring. I'll post it on here as and when I know...

The Aeon Flux on in particular looks excellent. Also check out the source link for photos of them printed.
