Halloween (Rob Zombie Remake) - Teaser up

This will be make or break for Rob Zombie, if he screws this up then his film career is over.

Oh and the new Laurie Strode is not a freakish hermaphrodite this time.

Malcolm McDowell is a good fill for Donald Pleasence's shoes. Both were/are has-been British actors.

Yup can't wait for this movie, seen the teaser trailers, looks good. Oh Scout Taylor-Compton looks quite cute, I hope they do bring in Jamie Lee Curtis for a cameo. Casting Malcolm McDowell is excellent, I wonder how he play the good doctor.

I liked both of Rob Zombies movie, but just wonder if he can handle the halloween franchise, the teaser trailers does look promising, and Michael Myers looks great

The girl looks a little like Alicia Silverstone.

I always thought that the original HALLOWEEN was vastly overrated so it'll be interesting to see how the remake compares.

Can't get the trailer to work btw.

Good idea.

It looks decent but could really go either way. It could be a dumb teen slasher flick or something much darker. Isn't Zombie known for his gore (instead of dumb slasher flicks)?

The first is so good though. When Michael twists his head as he's sticking the knife into that guys throat, all you can see is his silhouette with the blue background. Classic.

Rob Zombie has only done two movie, House of 1000 Corpse and Devil's Reject. I much prefer the 1st one, as it is wonderfully wierd, kooky, not very gory, and over MTV cut, but its pretty good. Devil Reject is basically Rob Zombie trying to do an 70's style torture movie, it is pretty good, Bill Mosley steals the show for me, Sherri Moon is lovely, Ken Foree has a great cameo and forgot the clown name, but he is excellent as well. It is a good movie, I like the ending with the music and it is pretty brutal, but in my opinion not as good as the 1st movie.

I do love Halloween the original, John Carperter classic score, the lighting with the shapes, its beautiful. I think Rob Zombie is going for the more brutal aspect of it, which may be interesting. I hope they explore more on Michael Myers in the beginning when he was a kid

The problem with 'Halloween' is that it's so fucking boring.

I guess it was fresh at the time but since then there's been so many slasher movies it's hardly unique anymore.

I like some of John Carpenter's work a lot but have never been enamoured with this.

Good photography and occasional moments of suspense don't make up for cardboard characters, wooden acting and mundane dialogue.

Still, it IS a lot better than Friday the 13th! :D

I'm not reading RomeroJPG and Markgway comments, its being blocked from my PC :D. Actually Mark got it right, The best one was Part 6, Jason Lives :D. Jason X is a fun movie. The original slasher movie I want to see is Mario Bava Bay of Blood aka Twich of a death nerve, I believe it has the point of view from the killer and most of the death scene from friday the 13th is done here, but this film was done much much earlier than Friday.

All the Friday the 13ths that I've seen have been utterly dreadful, the least bad being Part 6 (that the one where he gets revived by the lightning rod?).

I had to turn Jason X off after 20 mins, it felt like a low rent Alien rip-off. Although the Cronenberg cameo at the start is ace.

Yes.

I liked that one because it was tongue-in-cheek way before Scream stole the idea.
