Surley you dont have to ask by now? use the links on the voucher thread which have been there for over a year and half now :D try the $ link for $8 off then use a $2 one for more off and it works out at $5. Never buy from the UK site, as frankly the price suck compared to the american site mostt he time :)

Theres tonnes of amazing bargains at the moment.

It's $4.95 with the US Link + $2 Off US Code, or for comparisons sakes £3.99 with the UK Link + £1 Off UK Code. Obviously as you now have to pay in USD it may work out a wee bit more/less than the actual conversion price but it will still be around £2.50.

£2.50 is very tempted (2 Disc SE too) but I'd only have to get rid when I get the HD version. I've become very wary of buying English language and particularly Hollywood film lately.

Besides it's decent but no Infernal Affairs, a worthy remake though. It's too long IMO.

I always check both as occasionally the UK site does beat it, but not often as you say.

I just checked my online bank, I paid £2.51p for Departed :D

and hey no way in hell I am buying everything in HD, way to expensive to upgrade everything. So only will be upgrading films that are worth upgrading, while I loved The Departed, for £2.51p its a keeper for DVD, not even thinking of upgrading in the future to HD, as it just doesnt seem worth it. Some films I will jump at the chance to upgrade, mainly masterpieces and films that look staggering, Departed is neither of them.

Sweet.

That's good thinking there Romero. I can see your point. Personally I'm in no rush to get it so in short can wait until the HD is a reasonable price. I have a dream . . . that one day HD discs will be under a tenner :D

I do plan to switch to HD a soon as I can get a Combo Player and as they're more expensive I'll simply by less HD Discs. It's not like I can find time to watch them any more anyway. Some of my DVDs I'll upgrade for sure, some I will eventually but I don't want to buy a DVD I know I'll "probably" get on HD one day. I'll still buy DVDs for films which aren't likely to get a HD Disc any time soon though.

Some films are so outstanding I just can't wait to get HD, such as Blade Runner (IMO).

I am thinking ahead about all the films I want in HD, and hey spending £2.51 on a great film that you will easily be able to sell to someone for more than that, is a no brainer for me :) I could sell it easy for £4 or more, even in a years time.

The Sentinel - Region 2
World Trade Centre - Region 2

Both £2.50p if you use $ combo :) bargain for both really, not superb films, but well worth every penny of £2.50p :D

As some people don't check the "Lost"-thread due to fear of spoilers, I'm posting the news here as well.

Pre-order "LOST - Season 3" at CD Wow! at a bargain price of £33.99:
http://www8.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2 ... at=region2

The UK version is being sold at £44.99 which is one hell of a difference.

Well, you can decide. Pay £4 more and the box is yours in October. If you can wait, then I'd go for the R1.

However, I prefer PAL.

it's possible the extra time afforded to the region 1 release may result in more extras  i'm undecided about whether to get this actually,i have the first 2 seasons but thought this one was a bit boring tbh

Although this would make sence, I don't think so as the Scandinavian boxset of season 2 was also released earlier and is identical to the R1 in terms of extars.

Lost Season 3 Region 1 just wait till a few more months and get it from amazon (its cheap as shit there!) even with cutoms, or the next DDD sale 20% off as its £18 there as well, so customs will make it £25 at most, bobby bargain compared to other prices :D well cheaper than £30.

Wow good call Romero and Bradavon on using Cd-wow.us, I got Jaws: 30 Ann for 6 quid, although the order is still pending. How long does it normally take for them to send out the dvd?

I get mine after about 4 days of ordering :) but it depends on stock levels etc.. and how well they sell, as some people buy multiple copies of the cheaper ones.

No different from CD WOW UK, four days but maybe more.

No worries. I'm surprised you've not seen it before. "Most" of the time CD WOW USA (with Voucher Link) + $2 Voucher code beats the CD WOW UK site even with it's vouchers.

Not really tbh, it's quite common. CD WOW's site uses session cookies that stick until you close all windows/tabs of the browser you're in. You shouldn't need to delete cookies/cache just close all windows/tabs and it will then work.

I use the "IE View" add-on for Firefox whenever I buy from CD WOW so it loads straight to the correct page and as I don't use IE it always loads fine.

For me that didn't work, I am on the latest build of Firefox 2.0.0.4. I would have expect CD-WOW to have set an expiry time on the session file, but it doesn't look like it. Anyway I got the voucher in the end :)

Yeah I do like the IE View for work, we have some clients who say it doesn't work in IE7 but works in FF, so when comparing them, rather than have two browser open, I can open Firefox and view the difference. Its brilliant, however saying that, Firefox error console and Firebug extenstion are a great tool in debugging website problem, especially when it is a CSS problem

I've always found it expires when I close all copies of the current session. Did you try just firing up the link in IE?

What doesn't work? IE View works fine with IE7.
