drooool!!!!

Now I'm getting excited!

But then I remember Michael Bay is behind it, so doubt it will have much more than mindless entertainment value.

But then I remember Steven Speilberg has something to do with it, so hope that he can have one of his good days with this one...

As an executive producer, which just pretty much means that he's providing the money in this case.

Unless he pulls a "Poltergeist", which I seriously doubt he'd bother doing this time around. Prolly too busy making that Abraham Lincoln movie with Liam Neeson of some such.

Theatrical trailer. Has a lot of robot action.
# HD 480P (47.9Mb)
# HD 720P (119Mb)
# HD 1080P (181Mb)

Rumour has it there's a robot who turns into an Ipod. Could this be Soundwave?

Gotta say, the trailer looks good. Just hope there is a little bit of depth to the film and it doesn't end up as a cheesy pile of poo.

Good, as hell The Island had a 12 and it had some pretty tense and nasty bits in it. As long as the actions up to the quality of past Bay films it should be a cracker, story wise I cannot see how they can go wrong, unless its aimed directly at kids :D but I dont expect that.

From Melon Farmers:

"Transformers was never a R rating. Shia LaBeouf later admitted that he got mixed up between 2 movies he is in, Transformers, and Disturbia which was reduced on appeal from R to PG13 (and has always been a 15 in the UK)"

And this is the tool that's been cast in Indy 4(!) :?

You call him a tool for being a human being? People make mistakes.

You're acting as if he did a Mel Gibson (refering to that drunken racist incident a few months ago).

Saw the trailer for this... looked not too bad until I saw the Michael Bay credit and remembered why I thought it would be crap...

No to the former and yes to the latter -- but that was only because of Connery and Cage. The last time I watched The Rock it seemed awfully loud and stupid. Judging by the rest of Bay's career The Rock's watchability may have been a fluke.

...and don't call me surley.

I loved this. I really surprised to love it so much, it's really corny in places and excellent action and for once decent CGI. It definitely helped that I grew up with Transformers.

The youngsters who this is aimed at will not get as much out of it as those who grew up in the 80's. Oh and oh my fucking god Megan Fox is uber hot.
