. Seriously Mark you do make it really hard for yourself to get rid of your DVDs. You've not even tried eBay and have completely dismissed them, one incident whoopy doo.

eBay or DVD Forums are the best places to get rid of DVDs, otherwise I doubt I'd bother and just take them to a second hand store. No other place has a big enough member base. Oh and throw those VCDs in the bin are you having a laugh? They're not even worth 50 pence, let alone £1. I throw about half a dozen away and reused the cases a while back. They're unwatchable and just create clutter.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic (okay maybe a little

) but come on do a bit more than post your DVDs on a forum with two dozen maximum active members. It's not often Romero talks sense but he's right sell them on eBay or a proper "trading" forum.

p.s - Have you tried the DVD Swaps forum? I used to trade there, Grim and others too. That's a better place than Bullets to trade if you don't want to sign up to DVD Forums. You could also try Import Forum too.

If they were rare DVD then granted but come on who actively trades/buys VCD any more? Yes you could probably sell them if you were in Asia where there is still a VCD market but we're not in Asia. Oh and one last rant your prices are way too expensive, some of them can be bought new for that (probably) and certainly less on eBay.

You're right about that. I'm on the verge of closing my thread perminanatly. I don't know why no one trades or buys here? All we do is talk about DVDs. I can only assume everyone has seen everything in the entire history of film.

Wrong. Joy Sales are pumping out about 12 NEW VCD titles per month at the expense of the DVD market. Sometimes if you want to own a certain film you must get the VCD. I don't like VCD but that's the way it is.

Many of the prices are negotiable. Only an idiot would not express interest because of the list price. It's called bartering.

I don't know what a cex is? Some kind of second-hand store? Yeah, I could sell a lot of my titles to my 2nd hand store, but it's fun to trade or sell online with people you know. At least it used to be... the trading forums I always used have gone tits up. Why? Beats me. It's not like we've suddenly stopped watching movies... and unlike some I'm not out to "make a profit" or "do business". e-bay is full of chancers, liars and rip-off merchants and that's my last word on the topic. Most of those people weren't and still aren't into Asian cinema to be fair. Also to be fair Asian cinema has a lot to be thankful to Crouching Tiger for. I'd say it brought Asian cinema to the "Western" masses way more than even Bruce Lee managed.

Even so there aren't that many Martial Arts films that have the level of Martial Arts and Good Story telling as Crouching Tiger. Obviously it's not alone and there were examples before but to many Martial Arts films completely disregarded everything except the fight sequences including superficial things like a good script (which often didn't even exist prior to part way through shooting and still doesn't), good story and decent acting.
