Yo,

there you go. It's supposed to have leaked from FOX so watch it before it gets deleted:

At first glance, I think it looks horrendously cheesy. But I'm prepared to be proven wrong.

I wasn't a fan of the game either (the first one, not played the second).

Why have an actor shave his head when they could've got Statham prepared? :D

Olyphant is a good actor, you would know this if you've seen Deadwood. Don't write it off until you've seen it.

Agreed Eva, I think Olyphant is great and I have seen Deadwood. Only providing my initial thoughts.

Final cut taken away from the director and hacked down to PG-13.
Given the very last trailer for Hitman, I'm pretty confident that it might actually live up to the game and turn out to be really damn good. French director Xavier Gens seems like he wouldn't spare anything to make an all-out perfect Hitman movie complete with endless action and plenty of blood - and it sounds like that's what he did, until Fox decided to take over. A report from Twitch says that Fox has taken the film entirely out of his hands and given it to the same butcher who took Live Free or Die Hard and watered it down.

Well, Fox did once make a PG movie about child abuse. It was called Home Alone, I think?

Someone doesn't remember Grosse Pointe Blank or Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Nah, that was about child neglect. Big difference.

Wasn't that rather about burglar abuse? :D

:D
There'll be an Unrated Hitman in the future I bet. Since the games are rated 16+ and 18 (I think) a PG-13 film sounds stupid.

I thought GPB was higher but it's way overrated anyway. Mr & Mrs. Smith was pretty good, fair point. That worked as a PG13, it was also about the humour.

For sure. With an odd swear word thrown back in, great

I think GPB is awesome. I really recognise people not believing you when you tell them you're a hitman... :D

Havent seen Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Had no intention of seeing it either, as I read/heard it was pretty mediocre!? Is the uncut version better!?

Hitman is being censored and getting a new director. I wasnt very interested in the movie anyway, and a PG13 movie about this game seems a dumb thing to do. Sad news for the people who were excited about the project, I guess.

6 out of 10 stuff IMO. Jolie and Pitt play well off each other. Jolie is always watchable.

I doubt it makes much difference.

As if it'll be anything but crap, it's based off of an action game (with stealth elements) FFS.

True. Even the better conversions haven't exactly been great.

According to this, the rumours about it being cut down to a PG-13 are false. It'll be a R-rated afterall, supposedly.

Studio sources tell me that yesterday's rumor that Hitman was getting de-gored so it could catch a PG-13 rating were just that: Rumors.

The sources tell me that director Xavier Gens is still working on the film and that Nicholas De Toth has just been brought in as a consultant not as THE editor.

In fact there will likely be a team of editors involved in working with the film. More importantly I'm told that the studio realizes that to capture the essence of Agent 47 they have to make an R-rated film and that's definitely what the studio expects the film to get when it hits the MPAA "soon." In fact they are "embracing" the R.
