I've been in that internal tree one! When I've made it in life and got my own house built, I think I might have the slide one somewhere!!

I used to have a bed with a slide, when I was a kid and my dad tried to buy my love after the divorce :P

I really love those crooked stairs! No handrail, either! Wouldn't they be great to lead up to a loft, or some other space that wasn't used every day? (definitely NOT a good design for steps to the bedroom of a frequent drinker! :D )

The steel ribbon steps are magnificent. I'd love to go see those next time I'm in N.Y. Sadly, I find the tree staircase a bit depressing. What a grand tree that must have been before it was chopped down. :(

I love this blog and have bookmarked it. Thanks for the link, Yi.

well if you consider bobbi, that most of these are made from wood, you can apply to same logic to the others about the tree, you know they dont care what kinds of trees they cut down just so long as they can get the materials they require.

i quite agree that whilst very amazing (reminds me of the magic faraway tree by enid blyton :D) its kinda sad...
