I don't get why people get so hung up about this. If you break it down all it accounts to his mug and name on a paper cover and some two bit extras. Big deal!
If QT's name on the cover gets more rare and unheard of films released in America I'm all for it. So what if his name is on the cover. AFAIK all the DVDs he has released have been respectful/decent quality.
I'm with Brad there. It's thanks to Tarantino why so many old cult classics are getting remastered. Films like Kill Bill, Grind House and Jackie Brown have made mainstream audinces interested in these films. And still, with both Tarantino's promo work and mugshots small cult film releasing companies are going bust. Not enough people showing interest for these films. If Tarantino didn't exist we wouldn't have to suffer from his mugshots on every other dvd... because those dvds woudn't exist...

I seriously doubt QT is to blame for that. These cult films have an even more niche market than Martial Arts films.

Me too but in this case I don't need another DVD I'll never find the time to watch. That and by giving my details they may send me annoying mail shots. Whatever the reason they're not giving them away out of the kindness of their hearts.

Audrey Tatou reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, like Hepburn Tatou has oodles of charisma and charm.

But in most cases charisma and charm doesn't equate to talent (eg Ikea Knightley). Luckily she can act too, see "Dirty Pretty Things" but not "The DaVinci Code".

Tatou is one of the few modern non-asian actresses I don't dislike. She's got dignity and charm, similiar to some old school hollywood stars like Grace Kelly whom I also like.

I hear Tatou (and Hanks) had no chance to act in The Da Vinci code when it's simply such a turkey. I hear the book is also a turkey but because it's fleshed out (i.e - it's a book) people loved it, but it's far from well written.
