Middle of the Road... Joe Average... Middle-aged people... the person who dosen't follow chart trends, etc.... Put it this way: I think my Gran bought her album...

I seriously doubt "the kids" or "the music elite" are into Katie. You can always hear the sneering tone when they talk about her.

I saw a doc recently where a bunch of losers (yes, those arbiters of culture) slagged off Daniel Beddingfield because he was a boring Christian. Seriously, that was his crime. I don't care for his music, but at least my reason for dissing him is a genuine one.

If next week Katie staggered out of a nightclub @ 3am dazed via a mix of booze and coke and proceeded to headbutt a paparazzi - she'd scoop next year's Brit Awards.

Too true.

I cannot stand those shows. They're always full of tossers who've got nothing better to do.

I'd give Katie one too, she's very pretty ;)
I'm sure I read articles somewhere where she said it was easier to write when she had weed, as you say weed isnt the same as Class A drugs but it is addictive.

Interesting. It doesn't say if she's still smoking it, just that she doesn't when she writes. I think we'd be surprised how many actually people do smoke Cannabis. It does make the point Grim that her album material was written when she wasn't on weed ;)

I tried it once but didn't get the big deal, maybe I didn't have enough. It was only a couple of drags. Give me beer, it tastes nice and I know where I'm at and what my body can handle. Not I ever get drunk. 1-3 times a year maximum.

She does seem to have her head screwed on right and hasn't let fame go to her head.

Yikes! How long did it last?

My Mum's ex-boyfriend's son once took a magic mushroom. Apparently it made him really paranoid and intense for 1-3 days.

Why do you say that? Her style is very much the same as he new album yet it's suddenly a turd? Her first album is the best, the second a little weaker but still good. Her third is better.

She's also one of the naturally beautiful women over "our" age range around. She comes across as "normal" instead of all up herself.
She started off well and had some good songs, but now she just pumps out dire songs which are as bad as I have heard. The new album is pure shit, I am shocked how bad she is now. She needs to start writing good music, instead of the garbage she is now.

AShe has a nice voice, but when the m usic your singing is shite it dont matter. Same hgoes for Any Winehouse, she has some great songs on her albums, buit also a lot of crap.

No Romero, in my opinion if a singer is good enough they can make a "bad" song sound OK or a good one great :)

*Shakes head*

I don't like the song "When You Believe" much - but Rhydian on X factor sang it well and made it more bearable. Because of him I even like the song "Somewhere" more now than I did before, which before I could take or leave. Or to put it another way, a bad singer can make a good song sound bad I think.

I still think my point stands.
I find You Raise Me Up a rather boring song but Josh Groban's version and Rhydians is much better than Westlife's.

Westlife's got to No 1 though. Alan Tracy is a 5 minute wonder.

he's not going to be any sort of big star is he? if he couldn't beat that rubbishy Leon that indicates to me the public don't like him. i personally think though he has talent he comes across as an unlikeable tosser. maybe he can form a duo with Darius.
