The Chinese invented pasta

Post by grim_tales »

The world's oldest noodles have been found in China, possibly proving for good they invented pasta/noodles. The Italians and Arabs have all laid claims to inventing pasta but the noodles in China date from about 2000 BC (4000 years ago) which is at least 2000 years before the idea came to Italy and the Romans.

Pasta isn't popular in India at all.

Noodles aren't either, except for instant noodles.

Rice, veg and fish (in that order) are the most popular diets.

One fatal flaw Grim. Noodles aren't the same as pasta, no way.

Noodles are noodles, pasta is pasta.

I have no doubt the Chinese invent noodles. Chinese has to be one of the old cultures in Asia.

Similar but not the same.

The texture, consistency and taste are different. Besides pasta isn't just the stringy type.
