Sky Three on Freeview?

Post by grim_tales »

Hey,
Does anyone know the new channel called Sky Three? Apparently it will be showing a repeat run of S3 of 24 - I heard it was on Freeview, though for some reason I'm not sure if I can get it on my box :?

When I switch to Channel 11 (where Sky Three is meant to be), the info at the bottom says "Sky Travel" however the logo on the screen says Sky Three :?

well currently I have a sky box but the subscriptions been stopped because my housemate hasnt paid the bills. as a result we only get free channels and sky 3 is one of them. and it is sky travel for most of the day if that helps make sense of it?

Thanks. Seems to be like Sky Travel.
On our Sky Digital downstairs, the box recognises it as Sky 3 when you switch channels, its just that Freeview still calls it Sky Travel which confused me. It also added itself to my channels without me having to rescan the box (same thing with ITV4).

I'm sure it's not on Freeview. Where did you read this?

Sky Mix was renamed Sky Two and we now have Sky Three. I'll do a scan though, it's manual for me.

Well Channel 11 for me on Freeview is called Sky Travel, but on the screen said Sky Three. At least it did this morning - there was one of Keith Floyd's cookery shows on.

Fair enough. That is interesting.

I've re-ordered all my Freeview channels. The default order is very stupid.

It's not on my listing. I added channels last night too. What channel number is it?

I'm NOT rescanning it sets all the channels back to their default ordering. There is virtually never any point anyway, add channels works fine.

I've checked and can pick up everything else. I suspect I have it but can't find it. That said it looks to be on channel 11. I have E4+1 (I think) on that channel.

The default ordering of channels it completely illogical.

p.s - Grim did you say it shares the same channel as Sky Travel? I have that.

Yeah, thats right. It appears to.
What does it say on your screen? It says Sky Three for me.
On my box when I say "rescan" I mean I have to search for new channels.

I have two options on my box:

Rescan - It wipes the whole list and start again, good if you're moved into a completely new area
Add - It just adds new channels into available slots.

I have Sky Travel on another channel, fingers crossed it's also Sky 3. If so I'll move it back to around channel 10-11.

Oh right. Well I just add then, I've never rescanned in that sense.

I hate to rescan as it wipes all my ordering of channels. I've changed 90% of the channel order from the defaults.

I've done it a few times but not if I can help it.
