Superman never interested me either...

The ALL AMERICAN HERO....His goodness was too much for me..

I perfer my heroes with a hint of angst/problems and unpredictability..

PLUS the fact that Supes was almost unbeatable made it a little boring too....

Hope the movie is good though..I loved SUPERMAN 2...and nearly died laughing during Superman 4!!!!!

I too prefer Batman but X-men also rock. Two words guys:

Bryan Singer

This should rock. It's about time a teaser was out but come on I want to see the trailer.

Here is a direct link to the "so called" High Res. version:

Really the teaser doesnt exactly work well in making people want to see it as much as I want to :( its a faliure in a way for me, but still ok, just strangley underwhelming.

The X Men 3 teser on the other hand pisses all over Superman Teaser!

It is a teaser what do you expect?

I agree but Superman is a Bryan Singer film and X-Men 3 a Bret Ratner film I'm betting now Superman will be much better.

Bret Ratner is a decent enough directed but he has no style, panache or magic of his own.

The previous X men teasers were really good, they left u wanting more. The superman teaser is quite boring, I still can't wait to watch Superman, but this is because Bryan Singer is directing it.

The guy I saw in photos looks too much like a male catalogue model.

Might watch the teaser later...

On second thoughts that Superman teaser makes me wanting more, some of the cinematography looks awesome and it has that epic feel Superman really should have (i.e - Superman 1 and 2).

When Superman flies up in that distance shot to the sun, great.

Some interesting Superman Returns news:-
Source wrote: Superman 'too big'

London - The new Superman is giving movie bosses a headache - because of the size of his bulge.

They fear Brandon Routh's profile in the superhero's skintight costume could be distracting, reports the Sun.

Hollywood executives have ordered the makers of Superman Returns to cover it up with digital effects.

The Sun's source said: "It's a major issue for the studio. Brandon is extremely well-endowed and they don't want it up on the big screen.

"We may be forced to erase his package with digital effects."

Brandon, 26, has taken over the superhero's cape from the late Christopher Reeve.

Wardrobe artists have had to fit him with a special codpiece for the new film out next year. - Ananova.com

Its not cheap, as they are going to spend about 100$ million advertising the film, so they may as well get some free before the film comes out :D I still cannot imagine where all the cash has went making the film as its now by far the most expensive film of all time and when finished may top $270 Million!!!!! thats just a big joke! way to much cash to throw at a film when you can make something superb for a few million $ If it loks like it cost that much then good for them, but I just cannot imagine it looking like the most expensive film ever from the footage in that teaser thats for sure.

Cool poster. I bet the eventual DVD art will be really naff though with floating heads and the like. The general trend I've noticed these days is that theatrical promo art is awesome, but the DVD cover sucks.

-Lois' child is Superman's illegitimate son.
-Lex Luthor uses a crystal from the Fortress of Solitude to grow a continent laced with kryptonite off the Eastern Sea Board, this causes earthquakes & floods in North America. Superman destroys the continent in the end by first super-charging himself in the Sun, uses his laser vision to cut in from the Earth's crust; finally he picks it up and hurls it into space.

I was about to get pissed in the other thread if it hadn't got locked. (Why, btw?)

Eva, why the hell do we have spoiler tags? In order not to use them? Man. I'm not a big fan of Superman, but I really wanted to see that film. Well done, mate!

Me too  When I read that I honestly thought piss was being extracted. :? I'm not a big fan of Superman (not like Spiderman or Batman) but still wanted to see it.

If you're gonna lock the other thread, at least go through the trouble of bringing those old posts over to this one. Otherwise, dont lock threads when people are still discussing...

HAHAH! Yes, that was the effect I was after! Simultaneous worldwide theatrical release dates of blockbusters mean that we get it a day before you guys, thus opportunities to generate lulz. I won't do it again though, cuz lulz are only funny the first time around.
