Chico Time released on 20 February

Post by grim_tales »

I think Chico will do well with this, though he's up against Madonna and Westlife, who also have singles out then.

So its' another cover Worstlife are releasing then? :D
Good luck to Chico IMO. :)

Evita - Chico to take leading role?!

This is a bit I found on the web last night:

IF you thought you had seen the last of X Factor cringe-machine CHICO SLIMANI think again.

The ex-goatherd-turned-stripper- turned-singer is in talks to land a leading West End role in Evita.

...............

Mind you, it comes from that awful rag known as the Sun :D Chico is an entertainer, he has his place - but with his vocal ability (or lack thereof) I don't think musical theatre is it. :?

Chico gets record deal

Post by grim_tales »

X Factor reject Chico Slimari has signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's label. Music giants Sony BMG, who gave Shayne Ward a £1million contract after he won the reality show, are also backing the former stripper.

He will release his first single, It's Chico Time, on February 13.

Chico said: "I think Simon will deal personally with Shayne, and also Journey South, but I've been in talks with other guys at the label and they're going to get the single out.

"We haven't discussed figures and I think they want to see how this does before we talk about an album deal." Simon was famously scathing of Chico, walking out of the singer's audition. But he seems to have had a change of heart. Chico said: "You only see his nasty side, but backstage he was always very nice to me."

Do you guys realise that reality TV won't go away unless people stop watching it? Plus you're demonstrating that you have no problem being part of the lowest common denominator.

:D TBH I did laugh quite a bit when he first appeared and I thought he was quite annoying. But he's always super-optimistic and never takes things too seriously.

BTW, welcome to BnB - hope you like it here :)

Caught a bit of Chico on GMTV this morning - performing the song. (Chico Time).
As always, a fun guy and very optimistic. Lorraine Kelly loved him :D

Looks like he'll be No1 again this week :P
Quite funny parody of Chico Time on Rory Bremner with Menzies (Mingis?!) Campbell - to the tune of the line "You can get delirous/If you take life too serious" sing "You dont have to be a prat/to be a Liberal Democrat..."
Wierdly, the actual line of "What time is it/Its' Chico time" was kept in tact at the end, thats just silly :D
