Me neither. Nor would I have casted Kirsten Dunst as the sexy, voloptious MJ Watson. The casting director might have a thing for thin white skanks!?thelostdragon wrote:Just from her looks, I wouldn't have casted her for the role, but let's see what they can make of it.
But perhaps they would deem it too unrealistic that Peter would get a hot babe to fall in love with him. Or 2 hot babes.
I would have prefered if they brought in Black Cat though. Gwen isnt really all that important anymore in the current Spiderman world. Hell, even back when I was a teen, Gwen was already a thing of the past.
I was thinking about which villains I would love to see in the SPidey movies, and to me Venom is absolute favourite, and Tombstone was also pretty cool... but I think the comics I enjoyed most were the ones where Spidey was fighting The Hulk, or The Punisher. Especially the Punisher is such a fucking cool character, as well as deep, that it's a wonder they fucked up those movies about him.
Probably will never see a movie where Spidey will fight either one of those, though... everyone owing different rights to the characters and all...
But it could have been AWESOME, a big ass fight between The Hulk and Spidy, where they battle their way through New York, destroying and throwing everything in sight.

Hmm... the Black cat in the batman comics sometimes differs from backstory. In the Animated series she's quite rich (like Felicia Hardy), but in Batman Year One she starts out as a hooker/pimp (If that IS Catwoman). AS catwoman is blonde and gorgeous, while comic Catwoman often has dark hair, often short.
Halle Barry catwoman hasnt got much to do with the batman catwoman though. They completely fucked the backstory all up.
But yeah, they have a couple of simularities. Although obviously Catwoman has an intense love for cats, while Black Cat hasnt. Also, Black Cat temporarily had a 'superpower' which would inflict 'bad luck' on her opponents, while catwoman never had any superpowers.

Ain't Batman Year One just an alternative universe take graphic novel on the Batman's origins by Frank Miller and not actually part of the official canon?Yi-Long wrote:but in Batman Year One she starts out as a hooker/pimp (If that IS Catwoman).
In regards to villains, last I heard they were considering Venom and Sandman (with Thomas Haden Church's name being bounced around for the latter role).

Doesnt seem like the black suit. Just seems like a picture of his normal suit only a black and white version of the picture. The REAL Black Suit doesnt have the web-texturing etc on it.
If THIS IS the black suit, it looks like shite.

Yes I didthelostdragon wrote:LOL, have you even read what the site says? It's the official site. But then, they could be trying to confuse fans.
If that means Venom, though, I can only say: BRING IT ON!!
Things may change before its release though

No. "The Dark Knight Returns" and "The Dark Knight Strikes Again" were "alternate universe" graphic novels. Even though the former has gotten the credit for re-inventing and breathing life back into the Batman saga.EvaUnit02 wrote:Ain't Batman Year One just an alternative universe take graphic novel on the Batman's origins by Frank Miller and not actually part of the official canon?Yi-Long wrote:but in Batman Year One she starts out as a hooker/pimp (If that IS Catwoman).
Frank Miller's YEAR ONE was run as BATMAN issues 404 through 407 in 1986, trying to focus on the early days of BATMANs crimefighting. It's a classic.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
