I saw Into the Sun, not because of Segal, but because of Takao Osawa.

It was still shite but Segal speaks Japanese better than Japanese people. :D

It's bi-monthly actually... 8)

You know when The Foreigner was on TV recently I didn't even bother watching it... because the previous two Belly of the Beast and Out For a Kill were so abysmal.

There was a time when any new Seagal was welcome. But face it: Out For Justice is a long, long way away.

I saw a making off his version of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon once. Seemed very promising but I guess it was never finalised. Maybe had something to do with him killing off castmembers left and right... and his inability to fly...

He he he! "Crouching Cops, Hidden Badges". That was that Mad TV spoof of Seagal. There are even a few more clips about him. One where he pays a visit to the Dalailama and one where he presents his "Letterbox 2000".

I can't believe nobody has mentioned "Glimmer Man" yet. One of his best films in my opinion.

I haven't seen that many Segal films, but the ones I have seen were utter rubbish.

Under Siege 2 = Bored me to tears. Anyone notice how similar it is to Goldeneye? Set on a train and there's a satellite that can shoot laser or microwave beams. Kiwi director Geoff Murphy virtually ruined his track record of producing good films with this trash.

Glimmer Man
= A terrible buddy cop film that failed at every level. What the fuck was a respectable actor like Brian Cox thinking when he agreed to this rubbish?

The Fire Down Below
= Very boring and pontificating an eco-friendly message. Also Segal's directorial debut.

Glimmer Man is totally awesome. I love the scene where they shoot the old bad guy in the foot and tell him they'd get a doctor if he told them who was responsible for a murder. When he tells them, they get into the car and drive away. As he screams "Hey, what about the doctor?", they stop, open the window and Seagal goes, "I only shot you in the foot. Hobble to the hospital."

The film has so funny dialogues in general.
Campbell: Have you seen Casablanca?
Cole: You're asking me, have I seen Casablanca.
Campbell: Have you ever seen Casablanca
Cole: You're asking me if I have seen Casablanca.
Campbell: Well have you?
Cole: No.

So you can't act as if Under Siege 2 steals from/rips off Goldeneye because it doesn't.
Its' set on a train, so what? Goldeneye had ONE scene on a train. :)

I never said it ripped off Goldeneye, just realised the similarities.
