Search options

Hey Mordib,

I was wondering:

On many forums the search function looks like this:

On BnB it looks like this:

Notice anything ?

How difficult would it be to include that extra option ?
'Cause I'd love to be able to search for topic titles.

i must confess you've got me there, I have no clue why other installs of phpbb2 have that option and we dont..... damn internet

I'm sure I could manually edit it at some point, my priority though is to get a working copy of LDs site up and running so I can get to work on integrating the two before making it all live. after that I will no doubt return to adding little features to the forums.

It's because that's not a default feature of the search option in phpBB. I've never seen it before in any of the forums I've visited or hosted.

It's probably a mod. Shouldn't be hard to implement though. I did a "View posts from the last 24 - 48 - 72 hours" mod once, didn't take long at all... and for the search option I'm pretty sure there's an ezMod installer ready patch...

Probably won't make the search any less shitier though. At least it isn't bad as vBulletin's search, which doesn't work at all.
