This movie looks like hilarious fun! I can't wait to see it. I heard an interview with Samuel L. Jackson last month where he confirmed that indeed, he had threatened to pull out of the film if they changed the title from Snakes on a Plane to anything else.

Big ass? While the versatile Jackson has certainly had his share of "bad ass" roles, I don't know that I'd refer to him as "big ass."

Hmmm... I'm interested to see how they gonna fill a full feature film (about 90 minutes) with Jackson killing snakes on a plane. The film makers sure were in danger of making a very monotonous film.

I think they're going for a Eight Legged Freaks vibe. Cheesy, knockabout, B-movie stuff. A few quips, some gruesome scenes with the snakes and Sam Jackson doing his thing.
What's not to like?

The only thing that the filmmakers have to focus on is improving the look of the snakes. ELF had very good looking, albeit giant, spiders. If they can manage to do that, I don't think I'll have much in the way of quibbles

And you're right about the 'big ass' thing, Miss Monkey. I've never thought of SLJ as being particularly fat.

Sam is in it and for me thats enuff for me to want to see it, the trailer looks fun so far and really it doesnt need to be deep to be good. I just hope its a good, fun film

just hope its not a PG film with no blood at all.
