hey up.
I finally have a different address, credit card and email address and as such have successfully created myself a totally new account (my last one was closed and my details kept on the system to stop me fom reregistering)
......And now I'm panicking.
I didn't have to put in any card details, I cannot find any way to put in card details yet Ive already bid for something on ebay. So how does it work now?? can someone tell me th process of what happens when you try and pay for something?? are they reliable these days? have [people here had good experiences?

Yeah i have plenty good experience both as a seller and a buyer. Once the auction has finished you can pay for you item using a paypal account. Have you registered a paypal account. This PSP will take the money from your debit/credit card and credit the client paypal account (taking out a bit for the exchange). It fairly easy process.
I would suggest that once the auction ends, you will get an email, on that email they will be a payment button which you can click on and it will take you to the paypal side of it.
Hope this helps

yeah I have a paypal account set up, but i can find no way of entering my debit/credit card details which is the bit that is freaking me out as essentially I am bidding on things with no way of knowing if Paypal is actuall going to let me pay for it (though I have taken some responsibility and am only bidding for things that I could technically pick up and pay for by hand)

Hey Mordib,
Okay login into your paypal account and then click on the "Profile" tab, which you will see under "Auction Tools".
In the Profile Summary, there are 3 main sections.
Account Information
Financial Information
Selling Preferences
Just under Financial Information, you will see "Credit cards". Click on it, and you can setup a primary credit card that paypal uses to take money out from.

thanks dude, alas it appears even though its a brand new debit card it is some how connected to my old debit card. On the bright side their phone support was very helpful, they deleted my old frozen acount for me due to the fact it was last used in 2002 and now I can add my cards to my new account. Yeah Yeah Yeah's here I come!!!
