Just giving a heads up in case anyone sees this - I thought it might be interesting. Its' about how people like Mussolini (sp?) Franco and Hitler used sport and football to sell their message (?) and appeal to the masses, and how they grew to be popular.

Mark/Slasher/anyone did you see this? There was a documentary straight after the first one about communism and football which I didn't see. I was too tired so went to bed.
As you say Mark sport and politics do not mix, I thought the documentary was pretty interesting - showing how the leaders used football to get people on their side and would fix matches and bribe referees and stuff.
Back in the 1930's, when England were actually an all conquering team (!), they played Germany several times and whupped them convincingly.
In one game they were actually advised to give the Nazi salute (!) to the German team by the Foreign Office.
