Right these guys appear cheap initially but bob almighty are their shipping rates expensive.

It's now $10.99 to post one DVD to UK!!!

So like a £12 K-disc almost ends up being £20! Is that whack or what? How are these guys with customs though?

Is YesAsia better for bulk buying then?

I've never found them to be cheap, CD WOW and KoreanDVDs always beat them. I've yet to use Yes Asia either as the two above are still cheaper.

Often I've checked by adding something to my cart to see how much the total is (which includes 2% if you pay with PayPal) and they're always more than CD WOW or KoreanDVDs.

Customs wise, they give you (the customer) an array of options (at the order processing stage) to choose from in which to beat customs.

For the price they charge (which you're going to pay) I should hope so to (over customs charges which you "may" pay).

No thanks.

dvdfromkorea are one of the best retailers for korean dvd's, their service is excellent, and u never have problems with customs because u can tel them what u want on the package (gift) and what amount u want on your bill.

The shipping is 7.49$ to Finland (just tested with Running Wild 2 Disc LE) and 10.99$ for two dvds (Running Wild 2 disc + Shadowless Sword 2 Disc). For me dvdfromkorea is usually the cheapest option. Especially since cdwow usually doesn't have anything I'm looking for, my visa electron doesn't work at koreandvds (the only internet store I know with this problem, tested over 30 stores) and new dvds usually cost about 6$ more at yesasia.

Comparison
Shadowless Sword + Running Wild + shipping (to my address)
Cdwow: doesn't have + doesn't have
Yesasia: 30 + 28 + 0 = 58$
dvdfromkorea: 22 + 24 + 11 = 57$

Hmmm... this time the difference wasn't as big as I thought it would be

All three stores are very customs friendly.

Fair enough. I was talking about to the UK of course.

That's kind of a moot point when they all offer good customer services.

That's not guaranteed to work is it? They could still open it.

I let them put a low amount on the bill, under 30 $ or something like that, and then you dont get stung..

when i order at yesasia i get stung almost every time, so i stopped ordering there..

BTW the damn customs stopped me for the first time on the airport this time when i returned from bangkok, and I had my suitcase full with about 20 asian dvd's, but they only cared about american dvd's and illegal ones...so i could walk through without paying anything...

OMG I've NEVER heard of that happening. You're lucky they didn't igorantely assume they were bootlegs because "they're Asian so must be".

Look what happened to LD over his DVDs and dumbass customs.

So would've Aussie DVDs got through? Imagine if you had had illegal DVDs in your bag. OMG I've been through Customs a few times with a handful of bootleg DVDs. I tend to stick to proper Thai DVDs but at the price/quality of most Thai bootleg DVDs I usually pick a handful up.

The funny thing is that i did also have 2 bootlegs from USA movies, but they thought they were real :D that shows how competent they are.....

They said u can bring about 3 usa movies...if u bring more u will have to pay for it...and anything illegal will be taken off course..

But i dont understand why they did not care about asian dvd's...when they sting you for an online order, they are asian dvd;s also........?!?!?
They did open one of my asian dvd's to see what they looked like....and said it was ok.

I would guess becuase the procedure already holds people up enough they have to be careful not to cause major distruption.

Maybe they reckon that anything with Asian characters on it must be pirated?

No, because those 20 asian dvd;s i could all take without probs...and i think they did not know much about dvd's anyway...

I think they know more about clothes and things like that.

What? Could you please rephrase that? No offense, but I don't speak Engrish.

Well, I got what he said. He says that he was able to import 20 DVDs without problems. He also thinks that they (customs) don't have any clue about DVDs either, meaning that they aren't even able to judge whether a DVD is a bootleg or not.
