Lost Season 2 - R1

Post by grim_tales »

This is up for pre-order at Movietyme - $62 (!) isn't the final price though obviously.

http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/produc ... s_id=30660

I'll get the R1 soon enough when its released (someone on DVD Talk suggested October, not sure).

it's still a good show but up to now season 2 is not up to the standard of the first imo.

I'd still like to see what happens though :) I heard there were 5 (?) seasons planned. I'm sure there is more than ONE mystery (why they're on the island, what it means etc), I mean Season 1 wasnt the end of the story :D

Lost season II is deffinetly not as good as the first, however it is still holding my interest competly. The problem the writers have IMO is bringing up too many more questions without answering jack shit. There are so many completely unanswered questions on this show, its driving me (and everyone else i know) crazy.

They have not shed any light what-so-ever on...
What is the dharma initiative?
How was Eithan and the dharma initiative connected to Claire's baby?
What is the "sickness"?
How are the numbers and Hurley connected to the events on the Island?
Who are the others and how are they connected to the dharma initiative?
What is and what is causing the black smoke?
Why does the island have this healing power?
What does the button do and what happened when it was not pushed?
etc etc..

..but all the strange things going on and unanswered questions is what keeps peoples interest, i guess.

Maybe it will go like this:

S1 - Backstory stuff/arrival on island
S2- Learn to cope on island/more character back story stuff/new islanders
S3 - We find out more about actual island

I dont know :) :?

That artwork looks temporary to me, hopefully they'll change it drastically before release. But in the end the cover doesn't matter, contents of the discs do. I would never dismiss buying a certain release of a film just cuz the cover is shite (like what some people tend to do with EiV releases), I buy based on disc specs, contents and price.

Series 2 is starting on C4 or was it E4 soon.

I have to many films to watch to consider TV series. I can barely find the time to watch films let alone whole series.

If disc specs, contents and price are the same why not base your opinion on the cover art? I own a few EIV's because they beat the competition but if all is equal no thanks.

I seriously doubt that's the cover art though.

I don't think it is either. Cue Romero whining about how he knows "who's in it" as he's seen the (temporary) cover art
No offence but all it shows is 1) possible new cast members - I dont know who the hell those people are. How is that a spoiler?
:?

Where's the cheapest you can pick Season 1 up? R1 or UK R2 is fine but of course the full season.

The cheapest I can find it is £29.99 at HMV. Which is to much for me.

£29.99 is pretty good, especially for R2. Maybe try Movietyme or EBay?
Seems £29.99 is the cheapest you're going to get.

Where will you be purchasing the R1 from, Grim? I'll be wanting it, but this time I don't want to pay a hefty customs charge lol.

Possibly Movietyme as the shipping is free, but I'll see what Amazon/CD WOW charge for it.
I missed the last few eps on TV :(

But Play USA shipping is free - they still print the value if the item on the dispatch label.
