Plus it was snowing and the poor guy must've been freezing. I feel rotten for not helping him out.

Hitchhikers
You guys ever come across hitchhikers before? Would you ever pick one up? I drove past one on the dual carrigeway last week, on my way to Glasgow (from Aberdeen). I felt pretty guilty for not picking him up but I couldn't make out what his sign said...

I always pick up hitchhikers (when they look "normal").
I wouldn't pick up someone who looks physically stronger than me, though (for safety reasons).

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

A lunatic isn't going to wave a hook in his hand to let you know he's crazy. He'll probably appear normal. Otherwise nobody would stop. It's a dangerous business for both passenger and driver. Even if one isn't a Rutger Hauer, they may still be a carjacker or something. I wouldn't stop. It's sad that's the world we live in but you have to look out for yourself. Maybe if it was an attractive woman I might think about it... I know that's sexist. But so fuck?

NEVER PICK UP A STRANGER!
Didn't John Ryder teach you guys anything?!?
Seeing Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher when I was in high school permanently instilled in me the fear of handsome psychopaths asking for a ride.
