Conclusion:-
The R1 SE and R2UK SE look almost exactly the same. The German release according to the DVD-Heaven comparison is a direct port of the R1 and a PAL-NTSC conversion. I recommend going for the R1 (even though the R2Gmy has more extras), it's cheap and has a native NTSC transfer that looks great on a normal TV. The Carpenter commentary is excellent and the Q&A session (w/ Carpenter and Austin Stoker) is well worth a watch.
