blockbuster trade-in offer...

Post by saltysam »

this has been going for a while, basically blockbuster have an offer going where you trade in ANY 2 region 2 dvds (can be poundland crap) and pick up a chart title at a reasonable price. there seems to be 3 price bands, £7.87/£8.87/£9.87 for example i picked up running scared today for £7.87. also each time you do this you get a trade in card with two stars, collect 6 stars and you get a free rental, when you reach 10 stars you get £10 to spend on anything in-store.not a bad offer imo

I wouldn't have the balls to take Poundland discs to a trade-in.

Hmmm I'm not sure how much of a bargain this is.

£7.87/£8.87/£9.87 for a DVD isn't that great. I presume the 2 Disc SEs are £9.87?

right i got running scared for £7.87 + £2 cost of 2 shitty poundlands dvds total £9.87.i got 2 stars worth £2 when i bought it which effectively negates the cost of the poundland dvds. if you reckon £7.87 for a new release region 2 dvd isn't "much" of a bargain could you let me know the name of your supplier please. play for example are doing running scared at £12.99

A lot of effort to get a movie for a tenner that will be £7.99 within two months.

 if you say so.i work about 4 minutes walk from blockbuster & have to pass a poundland on the way.hardly a lot of effort.the point i'm making is if someone wants a reasonably priced new release this is a cost effective way of doing it. why should i need to wait 2 months for running scared when i can get it for that price now

I still can't get over the fact you're getting excited over a Paul Walker film :D

p.s - Fair enough but I thought you only needed to trade in one DVD? It looks like you had to trade in two?

Nope but I've seen him in a 2-3 of other films and he's been dire. I don't think I could put myself through it again.
