WinRAR recently was voted as the best overall utility in the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation People's Choice Award. To celebrate that fact they're going to be giving away the full single user non-upgradable version of WinRAR 3.51 this Sunday July 30th from 00:00 to 24:00 CET.
Since 2002 Win-rar.com is the official website but due to all the hits it's getting right now it keeps falling over. I've not managed to get in yet.
Original official site and still up:

Me neither still.
CET is Central European Time so 1 hour ahead of GMT, which means we have until 23:00 tonight to get in.

The good news first, the secure version loads fine:

The bad news it finished 5 minutes ago  , never mind it's only for a WinRAR license. The normal site is still down
I got in about an hour ago, clicked SUBMIT and it timed out again. I never managed to get back in.

*Yawn*
Who cared anyway? Everyone knows how easily available full copies of WinRAR are.

Well that's not the point is it. A free legal code for a program you use is always a good thing.
It's annoying they didn't have the bandwith to cope.

So you're not using an "altered" copy of the trial version then?
