The Punisher (2004) - EE R1 - November 21

Post by grim_tales »

I thought this movie was OK but there should of been a LOT more punishment :) So I hope the EE adds more than a few mins.

Thought the movie was kinda lame tbh. Don't think extra scenes or violence can save it.

They were suosed to go back and film more footage for part 1 extended cut, but they havent started Part 2 yet so thats obviously not going to happen

Is that 17 more minutes of deleted gore and fight scenes or more of Travolta's and Tom Jane's Oscar worthy performances though?

17 minutes, mmm not too bad. That could easily change a film, if its the right footage :) that rarley happens sadly. till worth the wait as I like the film, just needed more Impact and head splitting after people kept saying it was very violent, as it wasnt at all.

I don't have a copy of this. Does anyone know if it has most of the extras from the previous DVD?

Don't know Joe. The commentary might either be entirely new or just the old one with new comments by the director edited in over the existing footage.

I would imagine that there would be new comments unless the theatrical cut is on the dvd with the same track. I doubt it though since these days extended dvds don't bother with the old version which is too bad. :x
We need more like the Gladiator and Alien Quadrilogy sets.
