Hostel: Part II

Post by BiscLimpkit »

Huge fan of Roth's stuff - he really knows how to make good comedies. I thought Hostel stood fine as a standalone title, so it'll be interesting to see how things continue.

Here's a teaser, courtesy of Dave:

You can't import DVDs to South Korea? I see no problem then.

The trailer for "Hostel Part 2" is narrated in German with English subtitles. I guess it will take place in Germany then.

This movie will be like the 2nd coming of Corky from 'Life Goes On', I can't wait. Bootleg in June for the win.

Just watched this.

It's a nice followup but lacks the charm of the original. 3.5/5 from me...

Note: the violence is really tame - those looking for sadism might be a little disappointed. Either Roth ran out of cash or he genuinely wanted the audience to use their imagination.

Salty,

TBH it's no worse than other horror films I've seen. You know what I thought was nastier? The child execution scene - and you don't even get to see it!. What did you think of the film? Were you a fan of the first Hostel?
