Blasphemy at the BBFC

Post by bradavon »

Another interesting read. It's not just Muslims who lay down the law on blasphemers:

'in accordance with the Blasphemy Act 1698'
Not about time this was updated??

I don't always agree with Kermode, but he's quite often on the money. As proven again with this article. I've known of this case for years and always felt it was ridiculous. Sadly religion will always it seems have a grip on society whether we want it or not.

"He was allowed his freedom of expression unless it offended his Christian peers"

............

What a load of arse, that doesn't make any sense. It can't have been freedom of expression then :?

Kermode is definitely on the money when it comes to knowledge. His film opinion isn't always right but he is hilarious IMO when he goes off on one on a rant.

Yes Romero I know you're not a fan.

His opinion on films is always right. It is after all, his opinion. :)
