This film is excellent btw and stars Monica Bellucci and some French dude.
Pity it still has no 5.1 in the UK but fingers crossed for another Optimum Remaster job. The old Artificial Eye is pretty good but could be better.
I'd pick up the French DVD (the worlds best) if it was still in print.

The AE's colours are fine IMO. The transfer isn't sharp enough though.EvaUnit02 wrote:What a crap release, it's missing the original 5.1 AND it is cropped from the OAR of 1.66:1 to 1.78:1. Hopefully it won't be a contrast-boosted mess like the Artificial Eye release.
If it gets remastered it won't be crap. DD5.1 at least would've been nice but I can live with DD2.0.
It was and I tried to re-order it as you say at Amazon and got a non-anamorphic, French DD2.0, No English subtitles mess of a DVD. Which I never opened and sent it back.EvaUnit02 wrote:I'd be willing to pay the high price tag for the proper French DVD (which is not OOP).
That was from a marketplace seller though claiming he had the proper version but beware at Amazon the re-release may not be the version you want.
When I picked the film up it was OOP and now I have the AE I wouldn't bother to pay French DVD prices. I would get the new UK DVD if it's cheap and remastered though.
