8 minutes of new footage isn't much, but I'm curious. Raimi said that not only were new scenes added, some effects shots were redone he wasnt happy with. So I guess you could say this like a DC
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed early details on Spiderman 2.1 which includes an all-new extended cut of the film with an extra 8 minutes of footage. The set will be available to own from the 17th April, and should retail at around $19.94. The full details have yet to be confirmed, although we can confirm that both the video and audio have been digitally remastered. Extras are expected to include an introduction with producers Avi Arad and Grant Curtis, an audio commentary with producer Laura Ziskin and screen-writer Alvin Sargent, a trivia track with new video segments, an "Inside 2.1" featurette on the new cut, visual effects breakdowns, a sneak peek at Spider-Man 3, and more. We'll bring you further details just as soon as the disc is officially announced
Cant say I'm really interested in upgrading. I have pt. 2 and it's a nice superhero flick (a bit slow and long TBH, but that's also because I've read too many spiderman comics already), and dont really feel the need to watch it again with a few extra/longer scenes.
Maybe once I upgrade all my movies to HDDVD/Blu-Ray.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...
