...sucked.
It's not like I went into this flick expecting great things, given that this is a Marvel film, it's directed by Mark Steven Johnson, and is based on a comic book that's not that great, to put it mildly...but damn I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. Quite possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen, perhaps the worst. I'd rather watch Batman & Robin...a film that at least is somewhat enjoyable has the pure eccentric camp that it is.
I know a lot of people gave Johnson a lot of leaway with Daredevil since the studio screwed him over with the theatrical cut and with the overall production. Tom Rothman is Satan as everyone knows. But he has no excuses for this monstrosity. He had a $120 million budget, an extra 6 months of post-production, and everything that a filmmaker could want at his disposal...and this is the shit he churns out?
*Sigh*
Thank Valhalla that DC is still giving superhero films credibility with Batman and Superman because god knows that Marvel is single-handedly destroying this genre with their exceptionally shitty run of films. Only X-Men, X2, and Hulk are worthy films from the recent run of Marvel feature films.

And it made $44 million this weekend.

They showed the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man 3, and Resident Evil: Extinction trailers at my theater. RE:E looks like a blast. I enjoyed the first two films for what they were and this one looks even more badass. I can't help it; I love watching Milla kick ass!romerojpg wrote:Barbarian King your avatar is classichell I will be watching Ghost Rider on opening night still, as hell I know a lot of people hate his other films
Still did they show Grindhouse and Resident Evil 3 trailers before it in the cinema over there? (I assume your in america).
I saw the 300 and Grindhouse trailers at Pan's Labyrinth, which was worth the price of admission alone, especially since Pan's was such a huge disappointment for me.
PS - GREAT Signature!

I'd recommend something else to see at the theater, but there's nothing on that seems worthy, unless something like Letters from Iwo Jima is playing.BiscLimpkit wrote:Cheers for the review BK. I had a hunch that it would suck... if I've got nothing better to do, then I might watch it anyway... (I've got one of those cinema passes).
Also, there's one positive point in Ghost Rider...and that's that Eva Mendes is smokin' hot!!! She's rockin' the cleavage quite a bit in the flick. Good stuff.
