Fanedit DVD Review Thread

Post by slasher13 »

Might as well put up the fanedit review thread, if you seen any fanedit, write a small review on this one :D.

Just watched T3: T-HOPE Edition
Bloody good fanedit, very cool beginning, alot better than the original T3 movie, the guy tried to make a darker version and it worked in this. I enjoyed the movie alot better now. Extras include a fanmarker which tell you what the faneditor wanted to do, why did he cuts things out, and what did he add in.

What the person wrote about doing this edition
Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:
This fan edition runs 4 minutes shorter than the original movie. What is left is a darker movie, following the style of the first Terminator movie. Now, Terminator's mission has become a race against the clock.
No more cheesy oneliners or ridiculous scenes. The Terminator focusses completely on the mission. The T-X is faster, more powerful and more intelligent. No more romance between John and Kate. A complete new opening, plus a reference to T2's Cyberdyne Systems.

I wish Cameron had made this.

Me too. However, I did think the ending was very good and the sort of thing Cameron might have done.

Where do you get your fanedits?

Cause I heard that there is an edit of SW- Ep 1. which almost completely removed Jar Jar from the film, therefore obviously making it a far better film!

Ooh, I just found a fan edit of The Terminator which restores the deleted scenes AND has the original mono sound!

I'm in heaven! :D

Markgway, I know what you mean. I think James Cameron ego went overboard when he got so many awards for Titanic

degeneration, I have PM'd you, as Fanedit are a bit of a grey area.

IronMonkey, Indeed, that is on my next one to get :)
