Vanishing posts...

Does the database keep getting dropped and restored? I assumed it was just Brad being Brad but I guess not.

It may help if you give us some idea of what posts keep vanishing? Romero has mentioned this too. How we're supposed to help otherwise is beyond me.

If you bothered to look instead of jumping to wild assumptions you'll have noticed I'm not on these boards as much as I used to be/lately but obviously I still find the time to delete your posts, just for the fun of it.

It wasn't me and why on earth would I delete posts? Show me one time where I've done that? Without the very least saying I've done it, oh wait you cannot. I'm not the only one with mod rights on this board, jeez. For that matter show me the last time I've even been heavy hand? Oh wait it was 2 years+ ago

The only moderating I ever do nowadays is move and lock the odd thread, but obviously that must mean I have the time or inclination to dick around with the forum.

p.s - Please PM Mordib he's the only one who is able to assist.

well as far as aI can tell the daabase hasnt been restored, at 75mb im having problems even backing it up.. Perhaps a solution would be to find a mod for phpbb to log all admin actions, i havent found one doing a quick search but i am sure such a thin must exist, if anyone spots one please post a link here and i will see what i can do.

i mean an extra bit of the back end that lists all administrative actions (including mine) that i could check out to confirm that it wasnt human inflicted and more importantly if it was then by an admin or by some outside force. or just that theres a bug somewhere.

Who in god's name would want to hack this place? It has zero strategic value. Possibly that spammer looking for revenge?

If the vanishing posts are still happen, then poss we could track down what happens, if someone can roughly tell the admin/mobid what the time was when they posted it, did it appear, if it did, then check the server/error log around that time period, and see if something unusual had happened, You may find your answer there..
