It better be anamorphic, none of the other English subtitled versions are.

Nope.
Forced (I think) french subs for the english bits only.
The UK disc will probably have removable english subs for the french bits only.
But the extras are the same.
Oh yeah, I should have said "port" instead of "carbon copy".

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Review.
A comment in the feedback section mentions that a remaster is in the works. The visual treatment of the movie is an anamorphic treatment which is presented here at about 1.62:1, pretty close to the OAR and not seeming cropped or squeezed. The image itself is far from perfect with some softness, lack of detail and a lack of vibrancy in both the colours and the contrast. The most noticeable issue is extensive grain which may prove distracting in the daytime sequences. The soundtrack is a solid if unspectacular stereo which seems in keeping with the largely prosaic action of the film, but the disc does have burnt in subs for the French dialogue on the feature and extras.
