Gerry Anderson shows - your favourite?

Post by EvaUnit02 »

What's your favourite Gerry Anderson show?

Mine would without a doubt be Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons. The fact that he died at end of every episode made the show cool. The regular villains were interesting, Captain Black was one slimey bastard.

Another edge is that they would use real actors' limbs in close-up shots, not puppets trying to awkwardly pick stuff up. Also the puppets looked more realistic, they had superior craftsmanship and due to down-sized lip-sync'ing gadgetry, had better proportioned heads.

I hated Thunderbirds, it was fucking boring. Every time I'd turn on an episode there'd be two pilots sitting in a cockpit having a conversation, with only the ambient sound effects of the plane in the background, no music at all.

Joe 90 was just plain shit. The less said about it, the better. Stingray was meh.
