"Digital Copy": Has anyone removed the DRM?

With the advent of "Digital Copy" versions of films being released by Fox and Lionsgate I was wondering if anyone (on this forum or another) has worked out how to remove the DRM?

I was thinking if the DRM can be easily removed it would provide a quick way to get a Portable version without having to download a DRM free version or convert the DVD.

We're talking films you've legally bought here so I think IMO it's safe to discuss. They seem to be using Apple's DRM encryption.

I own a Sansa View Video MP3 Player so this would be useful for me, presuming I could remove the DRM. I've no idea if it can read DRM Videos (it probably can) and I don't care. If I cannot transfer it without DRM I'm not interested.

As a rule I wouldn't watch a movie on a 2"/2.5" screen but when you're on a long journey it can be handy.

Just download it and save yourself any bother pissing about with such a stpuid waste of time and cash. The fact they are puting this version on a seperate dvd is insane! lower the price and get rid of it.

In theory it should be quicker to remove the DRM then download it followed by converting it to a Portable Device happy size. Especially when you're getting the disc whether you like it or not. Remember the files you download are usually not appropriate for playing back on a Portable Device.

Well I guess the public will lap it up for one reason, it can make any Blu Ray set become a 2 dvd set, and we all know how silly the public are are lap up that kind of crap

knock £1 off I say, saves on postage and a disc and a special box for them.

I always convert any file quickly, takes a few minutes for my Player, in fact I rarely convert anything as mine plays all the best used ones. But again Irarley watch much, too small and its not exactly enjoyable, but does pass the time for short things like music vids etc..

i put the digital copy from Rambo on my pc,can't imagine myself watching it though.

It takes longer than a "few minutes", especially if the file has DRM. What Player do you have now? I presume it's not the same Creative Labs one.

Mine too but you're just wasting disc space if you copy across a DVD quality file.

Agreed. It works better for TV shows than all out movies.

Another reason why I despise DRM files is MS deliberately removed the ability to backup your licenses from WMP11. Why I've no idea. This makes it a right faf to play them if you format your PC.
