[Wii] The Conduit

I just beat the game, yesterday and I can assure you that it is a good game. The Wii lacked some solid shooters and if you are looking for one right now it is either this of "Resident Evil 4". "Metroid Prime 3" is a good game as well, but I wouldn't call it a shooter.
Although the single player campaign is kinda short with 9 stages only the game still manages to deliver. It is especially the controls and gameplay that make it worthwhile.
The real gimmick with this game is its online multiplayer mode. It's really good and it comes with all kinds of mods (death match, capture the flag, team matches and many more).

Bring on "The Grinder" by the same studio (High Voltage) which is kind of a "From Dusk till Dawn" ego-shooter. And before this game is released there will be a lot of fun with the soon to be released "Red Steel 2" which just looks awesome as well.
