How much does the forum cost?

Just curious as to how much this forum costs a year!?

Just asking cause the owner of Kungfucinema.com is trying to raise 2400 bucks for his yearly costs for his site/forum, which just seems a bit high...

This is just a very tiny forum so I can't see it costing much. KungFuCinema is a very popular review site, you'd be surprised how much they cost to run! $2400 wouldn't begin to cover the cost of running DVDTimes for a year.

This forum is tiny and on shared hosting so incomparable.

That site appears to use a dedicated server from codero.com ($varies), the forum runs vB (don't know what their current pricing is) and it's probably managed ($30+ pm). So $200 a month sounds good.
That could be halved with some shopping about, third party management and optimisation (change of webserver, caching, etc have a vast impact) but that's a lot of trouble when something works okay and you've a good relationship with your provider.

HOWEVER, the site has ads. That's an unknown variable.
