Hong Kong - Kung fu star Jackie Chan on Monday began a tour of the tsunami-devastated areas of Indonesia.

Chan was travelling with other celebrities, including Miss World 2004 Maria Julia Garcia Mantilla of Peru.

The group was to meet with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the governor of Aceh - the province hardest hit by the December 26 disaster.

Chan has been planning the visit since he announced two weeks ago that charity efforts he helped organise had raised about R30-million for tsunami survivors.

The tsunami killed more than 128 700 people in Indonesia and left more than 37 000 missing. - Sapa-AP

He also promised a few kids that he will pay for their education/school, and said they should not needed to thank them. just do the same when they are grown up and have the change to do so also...
