In a sense I'm not surprised by this, I'm sure a US remake of this classic has been in development hell for years. But it won't be the same IMO.

Neil Labutte is writing/directing and Nic Cage is one of the stars (I'm sure he'll play the Sargeant Howie role.

Lets' hope the film stays true to the ending in the original. If its' a typical Hollywood ending then that is a total cop out IMO and destroys the point of the film.

I've still not seen the original. Where is the cheapest the UK R2 can be picked up?

It's about time we remade an American film!
