Bad Santa: Theatrical
Badder Santa: Extended
Bad Santa: Director's Cut
I've only seen Badder Santa: Extended, which I thought was superb. However I hear that it is not as the director originally intended, and is more of a marketting strategy by the studio. I don't own a copy of this film so may be interested in this new edition, depending on what the new cut is like...
A shorter runtime probably just means cuts but it may not Zwigoff could've removed, added and altered footage:
10th October
"The director’s cut clocks in at 88 minutes, 3 minutes shorter than the theatrical cut and a whole 10 minutes shorter than the “Badder Santa” extended cut released on DVD almost three years ago. Features on this release include:
* 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
* English DD5.1 Surround
* Spanish audio
* New Audio Commentary Track With Director Terry Zwigoff And Editor Robert Hoffman
* Deleted and Alternate Scenes
* Behind the Scenes Special: Not Your Typical Christmas Movie
* Badder Santa Gag Reel"
"Apparently the missing three minutes are some scenes with John Ritter's character. This 88-minute version is the one that Zwigoff delivered, only to be told that it was too short."

Fair enough. I saw this movie in theatres and loved it, will buy this DC as I haven't bought any existing release. Looks like all the other scenes will be included as extras anyway, so hopefully we're losing nothing.
I enjoyed Ghost World as well, Zwigoff's previous movie. Also am looking forward to Art School Confidential, his new film which is also an adaptation of a comic from the same author as Ghost World.

The R1 is decent enough but the Dutch R2 has English DTS. I got the R1 for peanuts from DVD Soon yonks ago as the Dutch R2 like most Dutch DVDs was far to much.
Eva: You may want to pick up the Extended Cut most seem to think it's better than the Theatrical Cut and the Director's Cut will be shorter again.
