Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
Thankyou Bruce and Eva, and that poem (as featured in Four Weddings) is very appropriate BTW as its about great loss, not sure WHO its about though.
For some reason I was reminded of the song "The Ballad of Abdul Abulbul Amir", my granddad always used to play that song on record when I was young.

Can it be used for a relative? I would guess so.
Didn't stop thousands of blokes from over the eons from using the Shakespeare sonnet "Shall I compare thee to a summers day" on their birds. That sonnet was written by Shakespeare to a young male squire of his IIRC.

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
My mum and nan did Yi. I dont think I really understood how sick he was, as I say the last time I saw him was Christmas, he was "okay" (such as it was) then I think

Aw ic ic. That's always shitty, when you think someone is OK and suddenly it turns out he/she wasnt OK...
A friend of mine had cancer in the brain. I didnt know untill she told me, and she told me she was now doing fine again. Then, a couple of months later I get a call from a mutual friend, telling me the girl is near dying. Shortly after, she died. At times like that you wish you had spent more time with them or whatever...
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...
