Ridley Scott's upcoming films.

Out this November (stateside) is A Good Year featuring Russell Crowe & Albert Finney.
London-based Investment expert Max Skinner moves to Provence to tend a small vineyard he inherited from his late uncle. As Max settles into this new chapter in his life, he encounters a beautiful California woman who also lays claim to the property.

Trailer. Right click > Save link as. Trailer makes it look really hokey. Should be decent at the very least though, even mediocre Ridley Scott films like White Squall and G.I. Jane are worth being seen at least once.

Currently filming:- American Gangster (2007), starring Russell Crowe & Denzel Washington. Supporting cast include mega hottie Carla Gugino and James Brolin's son Josh Brolin (goodie scientist from Hollow Man).

The film is based on a New York Magazine article by Mark Jacobson, which depicted the true story of Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas (Washington), who smuggled heroin in the caskets of soldiers killed in Vietnam. He was eventually caught by New York detective Richie Roberts (Crowe), who got Lucas to turn his talents toward catching the crooked cops and drug dealers who profited from his scheme.

What an awful English accent, exactly what most Hollywood film-makers think an English accent sounds like and Ridley Scott is friekin' English???

Still it does look good. He's not made a low key film for a while.

Agreed Carla Gugino is lovely.

I watched the trailer and man that accent is indeed awful.

He's not made a low key film for a while.

Matchstick Men in 2003 - terrific little film. In fact Kingdom of Heaven is sandwiched between low-key films, this and Matchstick Men. I'd hardly say that he hasn't made a low-key film in a while.

An opinion on A Good Year:-

Agreed but boy his output is more good than bad. I can't think of a bad film actually, oh wait GI Jane was pretty bad.
