Better late than never.. when e-mails turn up late

Post by grim_tales »

Got this e-mail from DVD Pacific which was for some reason in response to an e-mail I sent them in May 2005 about when a DVD was damaged (Dressed to Kill, with those nasty stickers).
Hi Simon,

How are you? I apologize for the delay (!) in e-mailing you. Hurricane Wilma hit us pretty bad, and we were out of work for a week.
I'm sorry to hear about your dvd, does the disc work properly?
Thanks. Have a great day!

Best Wishes,

Mandy R

The way that e-mail is written just smacks of un-professionalism! I won't be ordering any discs from that company any time soon...

Thats wierd, because I'm sure she knows damn well I sent the disc back and recieved a replacement (which I got the stickers off fine BTW) months ago... :?
I thought she'd already responded.

That is pretty shocking... although I feel sorry for them because of the hurricane.

Maybe some of their records of correspondance were destroyed and they're going thru old mails to ensure everyone has been taken care of. I doubt they remember the details of every customer who's ever returned a disc.

I like the personal touch! nothing annoys me more than getting stock answers to my questions, ive always preffered to use etailers who give a personal service when the finances allow.

I agree Mordib. I think Mark's right.
Perhaps it was just a mistake, anyway I like a friendly, personal e-mail (this is what Amazon.com used to be like before they were bigger).

I am fine thanks, the disc worked fine (the new one) and played perfectly! :)

and got this one back as of today:

I'm with Mordib on this one. I wish more company employees would act like real people.
